I’m a writer who started in advertising, following my dad into a career as an art director and designer. I’ve been obsessed with books from the time I could read and have always loved to write, so when I later launched my own healthcare marketing business, I became a copywriter too. Over the years, I felt pulled to write in my own voice, both to share my story and advocate for others. I’ve blogged for a national celiac group, written to raise awareness about cystic fibrosis, and had my own column on a website about hooping. The hula kind.
During the pandemic, I broadened my writing as a journalist, essayist and memoirist. Writing kept me grounded, at the same time expanding my world.
Like reading, writing is how I best understand myself and connect with others. Storytelling energizes me and enlightens me, transforming what I witness and experience into something more meaningful — or at least more entertaining. I hope my words do the same for you.
